Thanks for Another Great Season

With bare patches showing through the trails, more warm weather on its way, Tobi Kiesewalter reported that the ski season has finally drawn to a close for another successful year. As of 15 March, the gates to the main parking lot have been closed and the pay and display signage removed.

Let’s have a vote of thanks to the Park Team, Curtis, Rob and Tobi for their great contribution and support in keeping the facilities and parking areas open and accessible. Let’s hear it also for Dave Reesor, Brad Mills, Jack Roe and Don Frizell for all of their hard work grooming and prepping the trails this winter. A big thank you also goes out to the Jim Reain and the Loppet team for another successful event and to all of the other volunteers who came out to shovel snow, put up posters, organize ski-instruction, sell memberships, maintain the website and help other skiers along the trails.

Finally we would like to thank the board and all who attended meetings this year. The Park could not offer a winter program without the work of these Club Volunteers, and the Club would have no place to ski without the support and cooperation of the Park. We look forward to maintaining our partnership for next year and many years to come!

And don’t forget to join the “Help Us Build a Bridge Bash , silent auction and dinner dance on Friday, April 15 at the Perth Civitan Hall on Highway 43. Doors are open at 6:00 PM and tickets are $30.00 each. See you there!!
